A long-term love of gardening motivated me to qualify in garden design. My studies included design, hard and soft construction, plant and soil health, climate and ecology. Working in a garden centre expanded my knowledge of plants and how to use "right plant in right place" for plant health and best visual effect.
I have combined my gardening and journalism experience in writing the stories of other garden-lovers and their gardens. (Magazine articles in NZ Gardener, Your Home & Garden, UK Gardens Illustrated)
